Workflow automation
Trigger-based automations that handle routine practice operations without manual intervention.
Workflow automations execute a series of actions when a trigger condition is met on a case. Automations replace the recurring manual work of chasing documents, sending reminders, and escalating stalled files.
Common automations
Automatically request a police certificate when a client indicates residence in a new country. Send a check-in message when a case has been in monitoring for 60 days without update. Escalate to the RCIC when a document has been outstanding for 14 days.
Building an automation
From Settings → Automations, select a trigger (case stage change, document status change, time elapsed, form field value), define conditions, and add actions (send message, create task, notify user, update field).
Testing and monitoring
Automations can be run in dry-run mode against real cases to preview what would happen. The activity log shows every automation execution for audit and debugging.
